Like dragon ball, bring ppl back to life. I'm not sure if you still hold the memory. Goku was locked for 500 years I don't know how some of us supposed to feel for that.

Hm you mean dead while at the same time the body is intact? Or no longer growing old?

Honestly, I think that no longer growing old sounds a lot harder than "refreshing" our organs - what I meant by that is if you got a heart problem, replace it with a new one(with clone technology) if you are losing brain cells, inject some new ones lol. If you really don't want to be old, check out Alcor Life Extension Foundation (they will freeze your body)
What do you guys think?

Old age and death is inevitable. Something I have come to terms with. What is left is only the fear of not actually living my life. Truly living life. Each moment by each moment. One foot in front of the other at a time. One decision at a time. Often times, people are too worried about their yesterdays or what's beyond today. They forget to live in the moment.

In the greater scale of the Universe, our lives are just a flicker in a small moment of existence. It passes by fast. To be able to truly live your life, you have to be truly fearless.

Well, that would be great, who wouldn't want it? Yes, it is a shame for somebody to die just because his heart has failed to function while the rest of him is healthy, or a particular organ has cancer. But then again, after living a few thousand years, don't you think existence becomes boring and tedious?

Until recently, I was taking care of my grandma who reached the age of 88 years..
And believe me, even though we did argue from time to time (she was quite stubborn haha), I never saw her as a burden..
Living with her did kind of open the window to a whole new world of scary thoughts though..
I clearly remember a moment when she told me that she just wished for it all to be over.. I was still younger then and it honestly shocked me..
But the more time I spent with her, the more I could see where she was coming from..
Like you said, she could not perform the most basic tasks by herself, and even with my help I could see that she was in pain..
Not being able to enjoy anything about life anymore, being barely able to see and to hear, being in constant pain, seriously terrifies me.. :/ Death to me seems more like a welcome relief at that point..

True, death is not an inconvenience, as being dead for billions of years before my birth didn't inconvenience me at all.  But yeah, it is the dying part that is terrifying, the manner of it.

I think growing old should be something we learn to accept.
We shouldn't be ashamed of anything we have to go thru.
Instead we should embrace it as just another important phase in life.
(It's selfish? You cant give or receive love?) Actually it's not at all selfish.
Our views of selfish , maybe we need to change what our views of what selfish really is.
Being in pain and unable to do things, all you can do is give love and receive love...
When we die, we go on and look back at the lessons learned of what was really important all this time.
Then we cling onto that forever. :flower:
