Do you Believe in Miracles? Why or why not?

I believe in just one miracle:

That a group of people in a forum connected over multiple networks in different parts of the world and from different backgrounds could come together and end prejudice against AMXF relations and stereotypes against minorities generally instead of derailing each other's forum responses.

We are always stronger in unity. Let us pray.

Well, I had an experience where I was in a horrific car accident a some months ago. I don't throw the word miracle around but I do believe it's a miracle that I'm alive and well today, because I still can't understand how I made it out of that accident alive. My car didn't make it but I did.

Also, twenty years ago I was shot by a stray bullet and while I have a small scar to remind me of what happened, I survived. That experience taught me to never fear death because I've already experienced it. Even though I was young, I was very fearful of dying until this happened to me.

These are my personal reasons why I believe miracles can happen. I'd like to add that in my profession, I find some of my cases involving children to be miracles also.

Okay, I'll stop.

It begs the question, why would a God pick favors? And why would someone think it is good for a Supreme being to do that. There is something innately immoral about this view. Just like worshiping the God in the Bible, of which a god who chooses sides in battles, a god who is a supreme dictator of which there is no appeal, who commands the slaughter of a group of people for not believing in him due to geographical location of which god himself has arranged. To say that god has orchestrated a miracle, out of divine generosity by making one person win the lotto, or a particular person surviving a grave illness, you will find yourself asking, why not help everybody else who are living a life of misery? Why would a god, out of a miracle, suddenly decided to bolster the fortune of one person while being totally indifferent to children dying by the hundreds every hour out of starvation, and thirst, and little to zero medical help. There is something very innately immoral and solipsistic to think of that as okay from a religious person's viewpoint or those who consider themselves to be on the receiving end of a Miracle.

Come on in guys. Come share your intimate personal experience so this guy can feed his ego by smacking it down with his 8th grade science.

A doctor doesn't build his ego when he helps cure people of illness. Just as I do not build my ego when I teach people about realities in life that seemed to have escaped them. You can call it 8th grade science, seems like you could barely pass 1st grade boy chick.

Damn right boy chick, bad ideas and ridiculous opinions seem to be just as bad as cancer or any form of disease, they must be eradicated all at once.

Doctors do 10 years of extra schools and trainings. This guy did highschool if that, drew some pictures and drew some house and now he looks back on the life choices he made and need to validate himself.
