Do you Believe in Miracles? Why or why not?

Hello OP, I read some of your posts, I see how you determine phenomenons(whether it's miracle or not) thought to be miracles by hey-ai members here. And I wonder what's your opinion on Miracles ? Do you actually believe in Miracles? And what's the true meaning of "the only miracle is there is no miracle"? Doesn't it contradicts the sentence itself? Thank you for your time.

Miracles, the suspension of the Laws of Nature in the favor of a particular individual or group's interest, in which random turn of events are perceived to be somehow orchestrated by divine agency. People of weak moral and intellectual conviction always fall to this trap, being unable to spot the intricate way reality is interwoven and laws of probability, lacking the fundamental understanding of nature and science, coupled with superstitious beliefs, a person would think that he or she is the center of the universe, and that such universe is created with the person, or a particular set of primates are in mind. Solipsism then ensues. Nothing can be further from the truth. As Albert Einstein said, and I see you quoted him, the most profound thing, almost miraculous to a level, is that there are no miracles. The laws of nature never falter, they never slack off, they are consistent and had always been since the beginning of the universe. Like Carl Sagan had once expressed, this thought alone, this understanding should humble us, that we live in a universe that is indifferent to the human condition. And the belief of such miracles, also has grave moral repercussions. When someone believes that his father had been saved from a fatal illness, and completely merit it to a divine intervention, of that of a miracle, that person will then find himself not giving credit to the medical team that had worked on his father, completely ignoring the rigorous accumulation of the knowledge and technology that have been acquired for centuries through hardwork and the use of human critical faculties. Furthermore, it begs the question, why would a God pick favors? And why would someone think it is good for a Supreme being to do that. There is something innately immoral about this view. Just like worshiping the God in the Bible, of which a god who chooses sides in battles, a god who is a supreme dictator of which there is no appeal, who commands the slaughter of a group of people for not believing in him due to geographical location of which god himself has arranged. To say that god has orchestrated a miracle, out of divine generosity by making one person win the lotto, or a particular person surviving a grave illness, you will find yourself asking, why not help everybody else who are living a life of misery? Why would a god, out of a miracle, suddenly decided to bolster the fortune of one person while being totally indifferent to children dying by the hundreds every hour out of starvation, and thirst, and little to zero medical help. There is something very innately immoral and solipsistic to think of that as okay from a religious person's viewpoint or those who consider themselves to be on the receiving end of a Miracle.
