Is it just me or are American girls typically not that interested in Asian men

I'm from the south so I understand your thoughts on what people here look for (though I'm over in SC, not TX).. the Asian population is pretty small and hard to find.. mostly families in restaurants and the like around here and most of them barely speak English.

I understand how you're discouraged about your area, I know I am. My personality and style fits elsewhere, not here. Most are country, redneck, jock types and I'm certainly not any of these... and in saying that, my typical taste in men aren't around either - much less finding an Asian man who I can converse with. I'm not against dating my own race by any means... but I do have preference of Asian, but it is disheartening to be in America AND in the south at the same time trying to deal with personal preferences like that..

Not to mention the ones I do see don't approach and it gets me thinking I'm not really the type because I'm eccentric. and well I'm pretty tall, haha and some guys hate that (which is retarded, but hey!)

So basically what I'm saying is you're not alone, and there ARE women out here who prefer Asian men over their own. (not saying any AM I go for.. that's crazy. if your personality sucks then I'm not going to go for you haha) But when it's pure physical attraction.. I will go for an AM over any other man hands down. I've been that way since I was a child according to my parents.

I live in Brooklyn NY and lately I have been seeing a lot of Asian guys walking around with some pretty fine looking non-asian women (not that asian women aren't fine too ).

Though, I have yet to find anyone ~~ lol.
Just makes me jealous =P
But, when I go out to clubs and stuff, I don't really see many women checking me out, or any.
But! There is def someone out there for everyone XD... prob =P

I think a lot has to do with your perception of what American women want. If you go around thinking American girls aren't attracted to Asian men, you'll only notice the ones that aren't.

There are a lot of times when women never thought about dating an Asian man and it's up to us Asian men to show them why they should. There are plenty of women, who are looking for a great guy regardless of what race he might be. So keep looking at that glass as half full and you'll soon realize there are a lot of women who are open to dating Asians.

Go to Europe.I've been there and I can say with brunt honesty that the social climates is much better. They are generally more open to spending time for activities like language exchanges, tennis partners, dancing, etc.

Learning a new language will open a new universe to you as well.

It's been over 10 years, but my take on TX was pretty positive. I thought there were beautiful women there, but more than that they were really friendly and approachable. There weren't many places I've been to where women would honk their horns at you while you jogged on the side of the road, or just walk up and be all smiles and flirty that's how my TX experience was so it was great.

So no real Asian stigma things that come to mind, this goes for the other parts of the Midwest and NE states I've been to. The South and SE is a different story. One time me and my Peruvian buddy who looks Chinese rented this Honda scooter and it ran out of gas so we went to refuel. He couldn't find the gas tank which at the time we didn't know was under the seat. When he asked this gas station attendant who was this huge hee-haw guy where the gas tank was he said "Yall aught to know, yall built that thang!" Of course knowing my friend wasn't even Asian I just peed in my pants laughing

I'm American and absolutely love my Asian men. In fact, I'm dating a Viet right now and happier than ever. Either girls in your state aren't confessing or maybe Texas is really that lame lol.

well i love asian guys and i'm in the states but they don't usually approach me. i live in the south too and crazy things happen in the south lol

The way I see it it's Asian men are typicly only into Asian women!... Its rather frustrating for a girl who is admitedly obsessed with Asian men
