you really crack me up. what the hells your obsession with portriats? you been acting like that add validation somehow which doesn't really make sense. i got news for ya, portraits can be fake , just go to any online dating site and you'll find some.

there is no point to it, i do it in real life, not online.

actually i heard different from people been/from europe. i had asian from europe that reported of very little racism if any throughout their lives. they recount of incident with jerks that were just jerks to everybody and not really racism. they said that you are judged for your character more so than appearance. america had a very racial history that lead to the mentality of today.

the added trouble with dating white american girls is that, i studed asian american history in school and there were numerious cases regarding how hard it was for aa men to be with american white girl . for example, there were issues of whether her friends would accept you, her parents, how white america percieves her with asian man. any of these could break the relationship. and aa girls simply don't have the same problems to deal with.

i simply don't find the same problems to deal with with european girls in the states and i find this refreshing and then theres the personality.

and moreover, there a phenomenon that america's female culture had developed into a vicious state that even white american men are repulsed by.

If you also read the news from Europe, you will discover the rising popularity of right wing parties all over Europe in the last couple of years.

Curious if thetraveler lives his life by a book.

You seem to just bring up facts with no actual experience. You do realize that these statistics, or information are biased by a limited group, and cannot be extrapolated to a large dynamic populace.

Obviously the right thing to do would be to go there to experience things and not rely on anecdotes or hearsay. My personal experience? Being in a different place forces one to be more outgoing. Also, you're not as afraid of making mistakes as much. That probably helps skew things for American Asians to vacation/live short-term in Europe.

With that said, chances are probably better for you with the *average* European girl versus the *average* American girl, holding everything constant, just due to the stigma against Asian males in the US. Also, Europeans are more likely to be living in cities, are on average better educated, and are more cosmopolitan (due to those 2 previous factors).

But hey, what do I know, eh? I don't even have a profile picture. :woohoo:

Btw, thetraveler, just ignore kensup. He is completely self-absorbed (see his self-flagellating post on being the hottest guy) and apparently has a vendetta against every profileless individual (can't stand the possibility that they're better-looking than him?). Also, his debate tactic is to ignore everything you've said and throw a smart aleck one liner that brushes everything away as being beneath him to reply to.

I don't have a profile pic either, we are fake brothers. :D

I lived in Europe, dude. and the difference is, so called cosmopolitans in Europe consist of people from their former colonies and the locals, and they are only used to certain ethnic groups, but not all, whereas in cosmopolitan cities in North America have people from all coners of the globe, and chances are, you are less likely to stick out like a sore thumb than in Europe. And Muslims in Europe are treated like roaches! thetraveler, if you think racism in the US is bad, you know nothing yet.

And you are more likely to be greeted by this in Europe :

In the us, they made such a big deal out of it, but in Europe, You kind of have to laugh it out quite often among other unwelcoming gestures, depending on the city you live in. BUT, a big BUT, I'd say average European girls are cuter and easier to talk to. And they will talk to you too. Finding someone special in Europe is not as hard as living in Europe. I guess you just can't have it all in one package. So do this, meet someone in Europe, and move back to North America with her. Problem solved.

For the sole purposes of interracial dating, I would say that being in a location where there are few Asians is an advantage.

The fewer other Asians there are, the harder it is to stereotype and/or ignore you. They must judge you as an individual. You start with a cleaner slate in a sense.

actually he have been biased about pictures for some reason. hes been criticized before for not making sense. but i find it hard to discuss rationally with people that just come in with an insult against you and just ignore your points instead of arguing point against point to show why you are wrong . i don't see how you can have a logical discussion with people like that.

When you're talking about your interracial dating experiences with women, your appearances are an extremely relevant factor -- probably more so than your race. Hate to burst your bubble.

In hiding your picture, you hide most of the context behind your insecurities, particularly about being Asian.
