I wanted to read through all the comments before responding but I didn't get a chance too. I agree that there are a bunch of guys here who have a preference for white women. But I think it's because this site was originally an asian men/white women site. So most people on here were originally here fore white women. I don't really care as much. It's quite interesting that some of them really put it out there how much they want a white woman, and it's weird on how some of them put out these expectations based on their race. This goes for those of us attracted to asian men who put them up on some type of impossible pedestal of expectations too, for any race really. If you have a racial preference that's cool but I don't think stereotyping based on said preference is gonna help you much in finding that right person.

I believe what you felt are true.

the people who showed rasicsm against darker girls are lack of experience of interacting with black ethnicity group. I think what you can do is get to know them well and let them see you as an true individual rather than the image from their imagination.

Take all of the girls on this site for example. I'm open to dating a guy of any race (and I'm sure a lot of the girls here are too), but by being members of this site, we are clearly stating that we favor Asian guys. Simple as that. Just preference. ^^

I can, however, relate to the frustration that you are talking about. I've always been interested in Asian guys for as long as I can remember. As a black female, I did find it rather disheartening when I learned how uncommon AMBF relationships were. And further disheartening upon joining this website and seeing the drawing of the Asian guy with the fair-skinned blonde girl (as if girls of other ethnicities & hair colors are less desirable). I don't think this is the case. Annnnnnnnd it's just a drawing. Don't let it get you down.

But don't give up! I know I always get really excited when I see other black girls on this website. You're not experiencing the frustration alone. ^^ Be encouraged.

There MIGHT be discrimination involved, but I also think it might have to do more with physical attractiveness in general. If someone who looked like halle berry came on this site, im pretty sure her profile would be spammed with comments. Im not trying to be rude or say you're unattractive (please dont take my comment in the wrong way), im just pointing out the fact that some guys are very visually-oriented and prefer girls with certain features. Plus your age is definitely a factor too. Try not to get too hung up on the guys that dont respond because they dont really matter. If a beggar stopped u on the street and said, "You're a failure in life", you probably wont give a damn right? His opinion and beliefs dont matter and neither do the guys who ignore your posts.

From my experience with Asian guys, they are indeed very discriminatory when it comes to darker girls (especially black girls) and they admitted it.
It's a thing I always failed to understand, as I think that a lot of them are really good looking, but nonetheless - it's their loss.

Not every relationship goes to bf/gf. you can still be friends! in fact a lot of times you'll find yourself actually like the person that you didn't think you would before cuz a lot of people actually don't know what they REALLY want.

i haven't seen any darker girl here, but I think they do have the right to participate and contact people in sites like this.

I don't think it has got anything to do with racism. There is lots of dark skin girls on Hey Ai and they make lots of friends. I'm afraid it has more to do with your age. Most men probably feel bit uncomfortble to write to 14 year old. So when you write to people make sure that they understand that you are only looking for friendship.
