Don't be too down on that. I didn't get my first date and relationship until I was 20. Compare to my other friends they started around 15.
Practice small talk if you can, master it would be great. Get into hobbies can help you with small talk because you have something you interested to talk about. Have a thick skin and just let the rejections roll over you. Rejection is not end of the world, just move on.

I do get it, it's a different culture, but in Germany you still can hit that girl if you were the dumbest and most uneducated guy, as long as you have an ego that is bigger than life itself.

People always find excuses why their social life doesn't work. But we are in the age of internet dating, and everyone can actually shine with their personality. Of course, there always will be shallow persons out there. But the question is, do you really want to associate with a person that messures you on the things you do not have?
I mean, try to shine with your strength and do not cry after things you do not have.

Besides, women like confidence, not guys who are insecure with themselves. If you have that inner strength that shines from the inside out, you can be the nicest guy and get the girl. You can be the mysterious nerd and you get the girl. You can be the IT geek and you will get the girl.
Don't try to be someone you are not just because you think that pleases others and make you more socially accepted. Rather try to be the best of you and love it. (I'd say that to my younger self, tho).

Got to do the small talk. It's great for conversation starter with stranger. It's light and a good way to see how interactive that person is.
