Just use the online community "vk" like Zen told you or much better, make a short trip to Russia or the Ukraine to get to know the people, their culture and their lifestyle.
It's like a win-win situtaion just for you. - Having a short vacation trip to a country where you have never been before and also grow your understanding for other people.

That's right, I saw many documentation and news about this problem, too.
Most Asians are from China and Taiwan.
In Vietnam girls also got kidnapped. They wake up in mainland china to be sold to mostly Chinese or Taiwanese man.
Girls got raped, beaten up, tortured, starved to death, killed etc
I don't want to doom a whole country for some selfish people, but those are the fact.

If they are charging you by the minute to talk to your potential wife, the agency is most likely a scam. Just google 'Russian marriage scam' for more details.

Also, I don't recommend bringing your wife to your home country. For a better chance of a successful mariage, it's probably better to live in Ukraine or Russia, but that has its own issues as well... good luck.

The guy wants a russian wife I don't see slave trading here come on now. If he loves russian women, he must have some reasons to do so. And maybe he has good intentions and wants a good marriage, and maybe the russian woman loves him for family values and not for Visa.

Yes in Kyrgyzstan my birth country it's normal to kidnap a wife and that marriage is forced.

But I don't see every marriage from agency as forced or slave trade.
