How do you maintain your fitness?

by doing it because I love it? so many people do fitness for wrong reasons and a lot of the times they don`t even love fitness so the goal is never reached. No matter what you do, you have to force yourself to love something until you actually do. Lucky for me I have always loved working out and sports:)

also diet plays a HUGE roll.

I love hitting punching bags. But it is Corona and gyms have been closed in Germany for about 6 months now. I sometimes do shadow boxing, but it is not the same.

Most people can't afford or don't have space for something like an elliptical, rower or treadmill. My suggestion for maintaining fitness is to have at least 3 of the following items: a jump rope, resistance bands and a weighted plate (25 or a 45).
There are some resistance band sets where if you combine them all (say 5) then you'll get 120+ lbs of resistance. There are many types of exercises you can do with this. They are all on youtube, so I won't list them here. With plates, you can do deadlifts and other exercises. It may sound easy without a bar and a pair of plates, but if you can do 3 sets of 20 daily, then it is still amazingly good for your lower back.
You can supplement everything above with push ups, lunges and pilates type of exercises.
I'm also a seasonal high school phy-ed coach and can still out run most of my students in my late 30s.

My friend has great success following various fitness routines by YouTubers. She just uses a few pieces of equipment like small weights, resistance bands, etc.

I myself just practice swinging shovels around but especially in a downward motion because that's the best move for killing zombies. :zombie: The apocalypse is around the corner folks, gotta look good while doing it.

I maintain my fitness by using something I love to work out --and I LOVE to dance. I usually do 30-60 minutes of freestyle dancing 5 days a week to keep myself healthy. Oftentimes I'll pair this with a light cardio workout as well, like squats and crunches, but only if I have time since I'd rather dance :laugh:
