German sense of humor

I have noticed my sense of humor seems to offend German girls noticeably more than girls from other countries. Can someone explain this phenomenon? How does German humor differ from an English or American? It is unfortunate. I was interested in German women but this could be a dealbreaker.

As being a German girl myself, I wouldn't think your sense of humor is offending at all. Maybe I didn't get exposed to it long enough or maybe I'm an alien LoL

But I heard a similar "complaint" from other people who were interacting with German girls about them being too humorless and easily offended by some jokes...
So, I'm not sure - at least I can tell not all German girls are this way.

On the other hand when talking to people naturally you don't want to be on your toes 24/7 and watch each and every word or joke you tell.
I mean if I have to think about each and everything I say for an hour first if they might misunderstand or are going to be a b**** about it when I mean no harm (I'm not talking about dirty or really offensive jokes here), then the whole fun of a conversation will be gone.

There's always the chance of people misunderstanding my intention. But it's a difference if they are trying to understand it and we talk nicely about it so both sides will understand.
Or if they are being offended and making a drama without giving others the chance to talk about it.....
