Stories of Hey-Ai couples!

I haven't met anyone here, and I don't think I will from my experiences on other sites

Anyway, I'm kind of seeing someone but not very serious. Hopefully get somewhere.

My boyfriend and I have an interesting story... Well, it's interesting in my opinion at least.
I joined Hey-Ai because I was bored and was looking for more Asian friends. One day whilst signing on here; I noticed that there was a new user who was also from South Africa. Naturally; I added him. We immediately began speaking and hit it off. He asked for my number so we could talk on WhatsApp as it would be easier. Naturally; I gave it to him. Despite the fact that he lived in another state; we just hit it off.

We spent the whole day just continuously texting one another. We would just talk about anything and everything that popped on our minds, and found out we had a lot in common.

The next day; he randomly sent me a recording of him singing Payphone by Maroon 5. I pretty much just melted when I heard him sing. His voice is so sweet. :3. We continued just speaking the whole day, and sending each other random voice notes. That day we found out that we had a mutual friend. One of his best friends was also one of my good friends. It was sort of awkward; but we chose to ignore it. That's when the flirting began. We would just compliment one another on everything and pretty much left each other blushing the whole day.

The following day (Christmas Eve) he asked me to be his girlfriend. I originally didn't want to rush our relationship/friendship, and he didn't either but we just felt that it would be a risk worth taking.

We've been inseparable ever since. It's been just over two weeks since we became official but all relationships have to start somewhere, right?

Both of us see our relationship being more than just some hook up. We both want to potentially spend our lives together. We have a lot in common and just naturally clicked from the first time we spoke. I wouldn't swap him for anyone in the world <3

I met my now boyfriend on hey-ai 6 months ago and we have been in a very promising and strong official relationship for 2 months now he has since deleted his account but i now have some sort of sentimental attachment to it and love to re-read our very first wall posts! Him saying to me, 'hey nice to see another aussie ' and me replying with a simple 'likewise '. That was where it all began, 1:33pm on the 6/9/12

I don't remember how i managed to stumble across the site, happened to find it interesting and decided to sign up. i was originally looking for a pen pal site so i could practice my japanese with someone from japan! Would have never in my wildest dreams expected or though i would want this. i honestly don't like to tell people that we met online because I've always seen those kind of relationships as very forced and unnatural ones. But what i have right now, has to be as real as it gets!

One thing led to another and i eventually had him on Facebook and had his number. We talked constantly until we were talking literally every single day at every opportunity we had. After lots of cancelations and conflicting classes/previous plans, we finally met up at a cafe/restaurant strip not too far from my house.

Seeing as we lived on opposite sides of melbourne city, a lot of our interactions continued to be over the net. We continued to meet up though and didn't have to do anything special, but simply sit in a park or grab lunch because we literally would talk non stop all day! The connection and the chemistry between us was insane!

He met my mum quite early one but i have recently been to his house with my mum to meet his own parents, which was all very official and movie like! Joining this site was one in a million chances and I am so grateful i managed to find it and that he then found me

My gf and I have been together officially for almost 2 years. I've had some exclusive relationships before, and quite a number of flings. And to be honest, between the last relationship and her, I've gone through a period of not being able to find any girl who would take me as long term boyfriend material, mostly one night stands and occasional casual hookup.
In those 3 years, I was getting disappointed in myself, thinking there must be something wrong with me. Then I met her.... The first person that showed me she's interested in what I have to say, in my outlook, thoughts in life. I still remembered the first time talking to her on skype, wishing that this girl would be my gf. I had more interest in her, someone so far away, with whom I've only talked on skype than all the girls I was casually seeing, which I know our future would not go any further than a few friday adventures and the bedrooms. I still remembered the day she agreed to be my gf. I felt like I was in heaven, and I thought it was a dream. Had that been a dream, I would want to stay stuck in the coma, because I was getting bored of ONS, occasional booty calls and simply fed up with the stage of getting to know someone new, only to hear nothing from them after a few dates.

Fast forward 2 years, as expected, we've have gone past the honeymoon stage, and our relationship has entered the more serious stage, where both of us are planning a future together. She has shown me that she can be happy on her own, without the need for attention/drama, that she can take care of herself, has an outlook for the future.... you know, all the traits of a good long term life partner. She has shown me dedication to our relationship, all the commitments she was willing to take, you know, all the signs of a willing long term partner.
Yes, she has stuff to complain about me.... especially about my fairly abrasive way to tell people my opinions, about my everyday mannerism (farting, picking my nose, peeing outside the toilet bowl etc). I guess she comes to term with my not-so-romantic outlook, about my athletic pursuits. But all in all, I think we're good for each other.

As time goes on, I am less in awe with her as our honeymoon period wanes, but am more in love with her as our relationship matures and takes its form of a highly valued commitment.

got a upsetting story for you.. about a year ago I was in a relationship and pregnant met a guy .. he
was a friend.. short term later I had to notice that guy I believed having a happy relationship with was hiding me, cheating and ashamed for our baby... so a few days after giving birth we split up.. the other guy I met kept trying to build me up again but I was so feed up of guys .. he kept fighting for months telling me it would be a honer to him if we would become a couple.. I did not believe him.. after a long time I gave in and I felt in love with him had to notice not all guys are as holes he was my perfect match completely like that that dream prince I made up in my mind when I was a teenager.. we where happy like what ever.. than at the 15.1.14 I suddenly could not reach him ,, in the evening his sister phoned me ,, telling me he got hit by a car and would be in surgery .. I took the next train and went down ,, he was in coma.. 6 long sleepless days till the doctors decide the brain would be damaged to much he would never ever wake up again .. his family made a decision ...om the 21.1.14 there was nothing I could do then sitting there holding hi hand as they turned off the machines and treatment .. 8 hours he kept fighting struggling for breath till the heart stopped.. that woman driving the car was on her phone did not watch out.. she never even turned around never ask for him .. I had to went back home without him .. on the way back I got a call .. we got the house we where waiting for.. there funeral I not until Monday the `17,2,14 but ... even if he is dead for 3 weeks on the 14.2.14 I still resived this from him with a lovely card .. could freak out but that's fate I guess.. just can keep hoping he keeps waiting till its my time..
