Your experiences dating a Non-Asian girl / Asian guy?

I grew up in a small town, being the only asian I found that i liked white girls more simply because i had more things in common and got along better. Once i moved to the city all the asian girls i ran into seemed so shy. So all the girls i've dated were white, so far so good .

I love it so far. I dated a japanese man once before and he was a sweetheart. very attentive but we had problems because of his family. Currently I date a korean man. And honestly, I wouldnt have it any other way. Once you have felt the love of a korean man its very hard to want to wish for anything else. At least in my expeirnce... Cultural wise its a bit of a shock. Specially if ur latin. Our cultures are very different so we have had rocky moments because of the difference, but we are both open-minded and considerate (most times) of our differences. You can make it work if you want ^_^ ...... 파이팅! kkk

lol i've dated mostly white girls, a couple hispanics here and there. and never an asian.

I tell you one thing though... culture has never been a problem for me. I'm pretty white washed... I'm prob more "white" than most white chiccs on this site lol and also perhaps liberal parents i guess. One thing i wished that was different is that if the girl could speak korean... to communicate better w/ my parents. one girl I dated for a little over 2 years, actually tried to learn, that was thoughtful. Its not a deal breaker if they can't but the attempt is nice.

I've had some nice experiences, but I don't think it's anything exclusive to white women. I like Westernized women. Even the Asians I've dated have been extremely Westernized too.

I haven't ever been to the stage where family becomes an issue though.

haa. i moved to this town in upstate NY during high school where it was mostly white people and like 2 or 3 other asian guys. i assumed i was going to get marginalized but it actually turned out they thought asians were "exotic". guess it worked out for me i've been dating white girls ever since and they're awesomee.
they have this laid back quality i don't really find elsewhere

isn't laid back a quality of personality? if you agree, that personality is the responsible for "laid back" character, then wouldn't there be some other race girls w/ this quality?

I too only dated white girls... a few hispanics... some of them are very "up tight" lol so i pose the question.

I think the whole laid back is a personality thing which doesn't pertain to a single race. :\

but if you find white girls more "appealing" to you, than thats a result of YOUR personal preference, which is my case.

all my relationships have been interracial, but they arent exclusively just with wf tho, I have dated white, italian, latina, and arabs. and they varied from individual to individual too, some are very nice experience, and some are quite bad... (by bad i dont mean she was ugly or fat, i mean her personality was much less desirable than her look, and i value both equally lol). My favorite relationship was with an arab girl though, that was my longest relationship too. we didnt work out in the end cause her parents really hated me (apparently i taught her to be rebellious against her parents wtf? she was 23 and making her own decision, but her parents thought i have been putting ideas in her mind o_0). so i think when u date other races, it is more about whether her friends/family accepts you or not, since if they hold any kind of prejudice against u, then ur relationship with her will most likely to be very rocky. I dated a 2nd arab girl afterwards, this time her mom loved me, so me and her had a quite good times together while it lasted
