I instantly respect a non asian for being able to use chopsticks, and lose some for an asian that can't.

However if I see a girl have difficulty using chopsticks it might provide a good excuse to go "help" her. ;P

I can, indeed, use chopsticks. I learned for stupid reasons though. My family would constantly get food from a local Japanese joint and they always included chopsticks even when it was requested that they be left out. So since I was a kid I just learned to use them because what's the point in dirtying up another eating implement when these were on hand. Plus, my brother would constantly say he'd learn to use them way before me. He still can't use them.
