What does it mean when a girl keeps staring at you

i never see girls staring at me.

but often i think they're checking whether or not im staring and look at me every once in a while. in between it looks as if theyre trying to look away really hard.
the sad thing is im doing the very same thing at all along:D

even better are the situations when our eyes meet and they start to adjust their cleavage as if id been drooling over that.

so weird.

I'm not an expert, but if a girl stares at you it doesn't always mean she likes you. She could be staring at you because you are interesting, look different/funny. But if you find the girl attractive you should start a conversation anyway.

she wants to punch your face

it can mean that you are acting uncommon, sometime, it means she likes you however.

I was in a club tried to dance with a girl in front of me, she noticed me and moved up to me a little, but I didnt move and even held back a bit, then she stopped dancing just stared at me, I looked up in her face and she just kept staring into my eyes, no smile,I smiled and then looked away, she still staring at me, what does she mean, is she mad or what?

@sleepless in seattle: Since you held back when she tried to approach, she was probably just wandering why you look scared or what is wrong (with you ). She could also be offended by your reaction.

regardless, take a chance
best case scenario, she'll admire your confidence; worst case, she says no

She was looking at the guy behind you --> She probably thought you were a good looking guy and gave you a sign to introduce yourself.
