I think they do, in their own way. The problem is that Latin girls are more used to the pursuit styles of Latin men, which are known to be the most forward in the world. Anything less than that would perhaps be mistaken as "casual friendly interest".

It makes me think of the funny interactions that can play out in real life.

Girl thinks is flirty banter of little significance. Guy thinks he's already being out of his comfort zone ballsy.
Guy: *whistles* Hey cutie! You wanna come over for some drinks tonight? ... *hand on thigh* Actually let's skip the drinks .

Girl thinks he's showing normal amount of romantic interest. Guy thinks he's absolutely out of his mind crazy in love.

Have to remember that Asian men are men before they're Asian. Sooo, it comes down to the individual.
