When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I´m 30 and STILL haven´t found my "proper" path and tbh most of us still try to find it even when we´re older. I Think that´s the path some of us are destined. No everyone is meant to be doing the same thing every day or have everything checked off their "to do in life" list by the time they´re 30/40. Some are just meant to roam the world confused but also excited for the next step in life:) Besides it´s never too late to find a career you really are passionate about.

When I was little, I didn't know what I wanted to be until I was 12. My cousins sparked an interest of computer tech and gaming for me. I think it's important to have a bachelor's degree in a subject you like or can tolerate. I started as a computer science major, but ended up switching to a pure Math major just be with my friends and hang with the girls. Our math department at our college had so many amazingly beautiful women who wanted to be math/science teachers. Even though I didn't finish my CS major, I stuck with a minor and it helped me land a job in IT. I have been working in healthcare IT for over 10 years now and love it. I'm a DevOps Engineer and get knee deep into programming, automation and data analysis/science. I have friends that have English and history majors, they still ended up doing what I'm doing or better. We all went to a public state college and tuition was inexpensive. I had $40K worth of student loans when I went to school full time all 4 years, but paid it off easily. Student loans are nothing to be afraid of. I started as a temp right away after graduating making $10/hr, then $35k/yr after one year, $65k/yr after 5 years and $95k/yr after 8 years.

When I was younger I wanted to be a princess with magical super powers lmao turns out I was always destined to be a Queen and real life super powers are helping people in need with burns/scars/skin problems:heart:

I wanted to be a veterinarian. Now I still kind of want to be one but I think getting into a career with computers would be more achievable for me.
