Has anyone here backpacked to Myanmar before?would love to hear your advice /suggestion

Any recommendations for the itinerary in Myanmar eg:yangon/bagan/mandalay

Lived there for 18 years, never backpacked there. The route depends on how adventurous you are. Usual tourist route is Yangon-Bagan-Mandalay-Innlay Lake, and that pretty much ends. You could always side track based on your time and budget. Since my parents were civil servants, I had to move a lot as their assignments went, north to south, east to west. Best spots are still off the chart.

I be flying from singapore to Myanmar on 16th until 26th..yes your suggestion of the route is what i m going with..i have the copy lonely planet book on how to go myanmar with very detailed information! And i have some burmese friend,they are my ex colleague when i was working in malaysia..and they willing to help out! Anyway thanks for the info..i hope i can make out the most from the 10 days there,it seems i have too little time lol o
