every country of the world has some good looking guys and some not looking guys...
you can not generalize it for a country.....
this question is so juiceles....

other groups like filipinos or thais are mostly not mention , although they are asian.

We tend to think harder prior to marriage. Sometimes if we do end up getting into one we have thought of that person to be the first one we see the first time we wake up in the morninf and the last one we see at night.
We strongly believe (most anyway) in the vow of sticking through thickness and thin, richer and poorer, in sickness and in health ... Until Death do Us Part!
This are a few of the Filipino core values. This is what makes us Asian.
I believe strongly in the value of a relationship and family, but if they has issues like physical and verbal abuse I draw the line. You cannot work through something like that. Many of my friends refuse to go back to the Philippines or even date a Filipino because of the experinces their parents went through, just you being happy over the fact that divorce isn't aloud there bothers me. Like I said before I love the Philippines I have been there many, many times and I fully understand Filipino core values, I just don't agree that your proud that people are unable to divorce there. I could get into so much more detail about this but I will save it for another forum, another time. I'm so off topic!

It's the media, right? Trends in what people think correlate to what we see in the media. It's just the way it is.

I am seeing this with a group of girls in Puerto Rico. I had a discussion with one of them when she said that she wants to go to South Korea and marry a Korean, erm what about the Korean Americans? Nope I do not want that! Which left me wondering if that was a that as a thing or that as a person? She then proceeded to her mental image of Korean men. The truth is as told her you have rotten apples everywhere and in South Korea as well in Japan they have them as well. I told her to search about the mail-brides in South Korea, harsh but she asked me to bring it. I know not all of them are like the headlines in those stories but seriously to have the men from one nation in a pedestal as if they are gods i and the same goes for every nation.

True. At the same time, the media also hides other generalities that pop up. I've heard of korean men being quite demeaning to their women (again, just a generality) from women who actually dated them. Also that South Korea is well-known for their extensive use of plastic surgery, which is a byproduct of their obsession with celebrities and outer beauty, which aids in not respecting women for more than their looks. I apologize for incidentally ragging on the country, but when you're held on the pedestal you have to withstand these accusations.
Going back on topic, it's true that a handsome face can get you out of trouble and get girls to overlook your flaws, hence why the media can hide some ugly things.

I mean no disrespect to those who believe in the power of divorce and choice.
Just think about it ... Why think about marriage when the other half of you thinks about breaking up.
You may have visited the Philippines but the reason of a no Divorce is a majority call of those who reside within.
I am just proud to say that a Filipino will fight for the love as long as both party concerned wants it to work. If not you'll end up separated and marked as married limiting your chances of getting fresh catches/singles that are never married.

It is understandable my friend and adhere no angst against it. They have more resources, culture and attitude to promote the best of who they are. All praises to the Chinese, Japanese and Koreans!!!
We as the not so well known Asians as per Pop Culture tend to excell in other things and needs to promote or utilize it for our own benefits.
Example: Most Filipinos are hard working, smart, ambitious and highly skilled. Currently, WE are the No. 1 import of 1st World Countries like USA, UK, Japan and others in Healthcare, Hospitality and Maritime.
Think about it ... We will come to you prepared and sufficient. All you just need to do is ask. Lol! PEACE!!!

Haha you know what I mean.

And yes, when you live long enough you get used to what the media does. You just accept it fully and keep doing what you're doing. Ah going off-topic again, but I recall an interview with marketing executives many years ago, and they basically said they make advertisement catered to idiots. He said that was the same, proven way of reaching an audience decades ago, and it's still the same today. If you watch television muted, for example, it's hilarious.
Now back on Topic. If we're going by the media reports, which would have more good looking men? South Korea or Japan? I think with the explosive push by South Korea in terms of globalization of their music, It must be South Korea for now.
