People who have never been to any East Asian country would heavily rely on popular culture. And ironically you can't even easily tell the difference between good looking East Asian guys in terms of ethnicity.

China's actor Wang Yibo, Korea's BTS Jin and Japan's Jun Matsumoto. They're all pretty popular and good looking guys in their countries. But show their picture to anyone who's unfamiliar with those celebs and ask them to guess their ethnicity. They will struggle.

So this question invites single-mindedness and biases. Unless you actually spent years traveling to every part and corner of East Asia, it's unlikely to answer this question without assumptions + overgeneralizing and overly relying on popular culture. I'm sure there's heaps of ugly and handsome guys in all those countries.
