this song cracks me up because the rapper was being told by others that he was a has-been and could not compete with other performers anymore, but his mom told him to "knock them out" (with an album that outdoes the naysayers), so he wrote a song called "mama said knock you out," lol. it's a song that can be used for haters if one chooses.

this is an old favorite. it's very primal in a good way. the audio isn't so great on this video, but i love the song. only the live version, not the studio version, is good.
