Would you date someone if neither of you could speak the other's language(s)?

Imagine you meet someone very attractive who seems compatible, but you can't say more than basic stuff in whatever language he/she speaks, and vice versa. Basic stuff like hi/bye, your name, "I'm hungry," "I like movies."

Would you try to date this person?

I’ve done it, often time we understood each other well without even need to speak much. Yes we can’t crack jokes like we can with translator.

And this going to Sound weird , but usually ,we looked each other in the eyes , that’s normally enough to understand what we do next .

I have worked with several co-workers over the years, and we did not speak the same language. We still enjoyed joking around and then the rest of the salon would laugh because they knew we did not share the same language. Kindness is a universal language. Effort is all it takes.

In your post you mentioned they would know the basics that is more than enough to build from if they are motivated.

Nothing is a barrier if you want it bad enough.

Eat , drink , sex, food , poop and pee. are more than enough for a happy life. Any of these get screwed up in the medical way ,can make you cry really hard 🥲🥲.

And These can all be done through eye contact and body language. Unless we want to have a discussion about why we can’t go to space and fart 💨. In that case ,one of us has to take up some language courses .

Yea. What else do u need - U understand each other, thats the kind of communication that most partners cant do.

I don’t need to understand she think my hair turning grey . and she doesn’t need to understand, I think she picked up more wrinkle. We’d take the war to bedroom . And life is simpler that way 😀
