Please share your ideas! such as hobbies or passion on something.THE OP:zen wrote: I'm curious to see the different results between us Asian guys and western girls. So far 2 of us Asian guys value the happiness of others, whereas 2 western girls here have the opposite idea.
I never said, happiness of others is not important..Hobbies or passion on something is not just about making others happy but also yourself..Otherwise he would not have mentioned people having a hard time being happy..I am not a selfish person..But this was not mentioning values..I have values and morals..Family is number one on that list..Hobbies is different..It is things you do in your spare time..So please do not mistake our answers for not having values or morals..I am very family oriented, as well as friend oriented and other peoples happiness does matter to me..Please do not judge just because we talk about what we do in our free time. Which is what he asked..How do we make ourselves happy basically..Also i do care about others..I volunteer in my free time to help people and animals and kids..If you took it as I (a westerner) do not value family or others happiness? It is not true..I was told by a friend that lives in China that even though I am westerner..I have a heart that is similar to an Asians, my values are very similar, even if my mannerisms dont always match..I told him im not Asian, so therefore comparing me to one is not really similar, but, he admires how I am..Please do not put us women all into one box..Until you know us personally..
As i also stated above helping others, clearly not only just my happiness is important..As well as encouraging and supporting others..As for family, I only have my kids here and a few close friends, and I rarely get to see them..Soo..Otherwise I spent a lot of times with my family in the US and friends. My friends that I do have? I treat like family.we talk, we meet up, we eat together, and have good times..Also I skype with my mom and other friends back home to check on them..Even though i havent lived in the US since 2011 i still care about everyone I was close to..I have had friendships of over 25 years. So.I value close friendships to .I value the people that come into my life.

i am calm, just felt kinda compared in a negative way..Women are of course different than men..Just felt kinda like you were implying we did not care about those things. As if to western women, those things were not important..Not every western woman is the same though..Food could also be associated with family and friends though..I love socializing around a good meal..Depends on what meaning that person gives it.zen wrote: ^ cool down a little miss. No one said you were guilty and there is no right or wrong answer. Everyone is a little different .
