!Need help with Discord server

So my issue is that my Discord account is 2 years old with the same username. I'm in a bunch of other groups. If I'm required to change my Discord name to my Hey-Ai name, it will be very weird. My Hey-Ai username is kind of lame but I can't change it. Discord only allows one account per email address unfortunately. Can I just change my nickname? I tried and it didn't work. I tried to DM a mod on there but the message didn't go through. Please help I honestly don't understand Discord that much.

im sure someone like prime can send you an invite. the same username requirement is probably just to confirm you are the same person. nothing a simple pm on here cant fix.

Isn’t the mod have the “power” to just rearrange your name ? I shine in with my awesome name into a service and they got the audacity to renamed my asian ass.

I'm stuck in the Verify section. I don't really get it, but I can't participate.

General edit: on the first comment, I meant to say that my Discord username has never changed in 2 years, not that it's the same as Hey-Ai.

^ is that mean you need to slide in with the same name as here ? Can’t be done afterwards? 😯

I've had discord for multiple years, and I never understood it until Hey-ai got their own account there, however, I never spend my time in there, because I don't like they hey-ai account on discord. I do however, spend alot of time in my gaming servers.... But yeah, it took me years to even comprehend how to navigate the damn thing...

They don't mean to change your Discord username for the server, only to change your Hey-ai Discord server nickname same as your Hey-ai username.

Oh yeah I tried to change it but it doesn't save. It's like I don't have permission to do it. DMing failed as well probably because I'm not accepted into the Discord server.

you might have not clicked on that green check reaction icon below the post on the welcome and rules page when you got on there. Its to verify you and to reveal the whole server channels.
