Sorry to say I never found any problem with joomla. I'm working with joomla from version 1.5
it's showing error sometime when we do mistake on php or .htaccess.... I have done all my major projects on joomla, I'm a big fan of joomla......
it's depend on which server you are using... If you are using apache server with rewrite_mod then very less problem we will get...
I did the css changes less then 3 mins... It's don't take too much time i think anyone can do all the css changes less then 1 hr.....
Less loading time for app if we do use tool for convert website to app android studio it's can be done less then 2 hrs with testing of app....

Nowadays no one is free .... I'm working plus doing my own clients projects too.... but it's all game about your speed and experience...

Sorry if anyone got offended with my posts .......

The logo looks nice. But too much coined as a dating site. There are people here who are in a happy relationship and only looking for friendship/cultural exchange / networking etc. Also the guy looks too much like a white person. But that's probably only a minor detail.

Can you show us some of your real projects from your portfolio?

Thank you so much but it was a demo logo for an a idea...
Sure i can show your my real projects but where I can send you links?

Here. Or via pm

Sent you a pm... Please look on it :-)
thanks

You seem like a helpful competent guy Josh. But I don't know you that well. If you're a reliable and trustworthy person. And can do the changes as you're experienced and so make sure they go without issues - that would be ideal.

I wasn't saying your idea was bad. It was very solid and people always need to keep up to date with technology. Just that in this particular context. This is generally a free site run by volunteers who have their own time and dedicate some of their free time to help maintain and run the site. You can always pm suggestions but I don't know the full picture at all in what's being done. But people can spend years in CSS and still be constantly learning new solutions plus combos.

Unless this site has paid employees being well compensated for their work. Asking people to further pick up new CSS optimization tricks that one is unfamiliar with. Not to mention the extra labor required to make sure the new CSS improvements become added without mess or issues. I just don't feel it's fair to demand changes when it's currently not that urgently needed. If the site is too slow or has many constant errors - it would then be a different story.

Just don't be too demanding when the health of the site's speed and efficiency is honestly pretty solid from my pov and it's free. And demand changes that require solid work and invested time to perfect unless you're willing to take on the role wholly and permanently.

Guys, you both are right. If things work fine, that's great. Then, proposing some improvements is very welcome as well. If Josh or anyone volunteers to help, let him show what he has to offer.

Thanks Bro :-) But i never said i like to do the modification on this website...(I just did the change to give a idea to the admin) I did some small css changes (like background color etc.) When a developer do livewire project 1st he take the backup before doing anything on the website. Developer never delete old files... he do changes to old css = some thing like css1 .... so if anything goes wrong with new css he just rename old css files.... and every server got backup options too.
Doing changes on css never going to be a problem for the website.... css know as cascading style sheets this is not core part of the website... nowadays people don't use "css" they use "scss" google is not supporting old image formats... new image formats are WebP, JPEG 2000,
JPEG XR.... html5, css3 and canvas are too old technology even people don't use java on the website... Poeple love to make java free websites....

I don't seem to have any real issues with the site loading up quickly or its speed when I send mail, receive messages, log in and browse the forum. It seems to work with sufficient decent timing at least here in Aus with an up to date mozilla firefox browser, and lack of issues over much of the entirety since I've been here. Obviously one go try "optimize" the CSS to make the site more efficient and faster loading, except it already seems pretty smooth and fast enough as it is. Not sure what people complain about or maybe I'm just overly familiar with the layout and have fast broadband speed. So complaining about something for the sake of just complaining seems moot. It costs money and much of the volunteer's free time to further incorporate unweathered/uncertain improvements to something and for what? it already seems pretty decent.

Some people just don't know when to be grateful for something they already been given.

Bro I'm really grateful to this website and people too, I never find any problem with this website and 2ndly I was trying to help them with some idea because i thought this website is using too old theme... Anyways I'm sorry if you got hurt or something like that...

The site needs an improved layout. I studied dozens of sites in my research for the web design courses I took, and it does have a great impact on what draws people to it. I mainly access the site from my phone.

Please elaborate on this more. In my understanding, SCSS is just CSS with server variables for the SASS pre-processor, which in retrurn outputs plain and simple CSS.

What does a browser display, when the website neither delivers HTML nor CSS into the DOM?

Isn’t JPEG2000 much older than HTML5 or SASS/SCSS?

Yes you are right... developers use scss to customize bootstrap things mostly..... I think it will show render,
Yes JPEG2000 is very old but nowadays people restarted using it mostly... developers are using WebP for loading time....

Not sure if this has been brought up before (thought I'd throw it out there just in case), but have the great admins and powers to be thought of making the website open source?

Perhaps a GitHub repo where fellow software engineers here could use their skills to contribute and submit pull requests reviewed by the admins would be a great way of helping this website grow.

I echo the sentiment of a previous poster though that by and large, I have no issues with the dated look of this website and it has the basic functions I expect (and work).

EDIT: Just read that this was built using Joomla. Still it might be nice to have a stickied/central topic with information for people wanting to contribute
