Unfortunately, this is a famous problem of the software we use. The time it takes to get logged out is unpredictable. 15 minutes does sound very short and frustrating, though.
(We hope this is addressed in an upcoming update, but this has been a problem for a long time)
What you can try is:
- Clear your cookies (all of them, or only Hey-Ai related ones)
- Try a different web browser for this site and see whether it improves the situation.

I get the warning 5+ times before it actually stops appearing.
I have tried clearing all cookies and restarting my browser. I still get logged out.
Having to log-in multiple times a day is inconvenient.
I'm also not getting notifications when someone replies on the forums.
I have the notifications on, but they do not seem to be doing anything.

Which browser are you using, on which kind of device? Does it act the same on other browsers?
Forum notifications are sent by e-mail, do you get those?

FireFox does not seem to log me out, and the warning messages only appear once every few hours?
I have checked my email, it seems I am getting those. But that seems like a inefficient way of notifying users?
If I am browsing the website, I need to check my email for notifications? Would it not be better if the notifications are
on the website instead of email only?
EDIT:
I actually got a screenshot this time.

Thanks for the feedback regarding browser behaviour.
We will implement an update in the near future and hope that it helps with the logout issue.
I agree that a live notification of forum replies would be much better, but the forum software just doesn't support that. I think that's because the software framework itself is quite old (in internet time), back when instant notifications would have caused way too much server load. Now, while a lot of the software has been overhauled, for some reason several attempts of adding AJAX or mobile phone push notifications have died off. Maybe the constant database queries are still too much for many consumer hosting services.
TLDR; You can go to the My Subscriptions page to check for new replies to your subscribed forum topics.
Edit: regarding the screenshot: The module showing the private message notification refreshes itself every X minutes, while the login module only refreshes on page reload. So, when your session is terminated while that page is still open, it will show up like that.
The private message system will be replaced with the next update, so at least this will be less confusing.

Darn, I was hoping it got better with recent updates, as it has for me (I'm now logged out after 60 minutes without activity).
We'll run a test after the next update. Stay tuned!
