Please stop changing the password to TC chat room

Everytime the password to tinychat chatroom is changed, there is always a significant drop in people joining.
We do not have that many members that joins the chatroom to begin with.
Doing this is just going to kill our chat room in the long run.

Whoever wants to get into chatroom can easily take a look at the password on the dedicated page restricted to members only, then copy & paste it.
It doesn't sound any difficult, does it?

Then all the randoms could start coming in, in the AMBW site I used to use, they just had a tinychat link, no password, the chat room is filled with people just doing helicopter penis

With a password that doesn't really prevent that, but it will minimize the chances

Hey Tim, I totally feel where you are coming from - and love the fact you're one of the few members keeping it alive! The password change is obviously to mitigate the issues of trolls and the public who are not registered with Heyai to enter chat.

If we can all appreciate, the heyai chat is a community chat strictly for hey-ai members (this is important to emphasize) - I, like many long time chatters blazing through the web spectrum all know that there are plenty of not so friendly things that happen online, thus we just need to put a few processes in place to ensure our members (particularly members <18 yrs old) have somewhat of a "safer" environment to interact with other heyai members and are in alignment with the site - thus password changes are absolutely necessary where only registered heyai members have visibility over.

I for one I use to love the convenience of the auto save password with the direct link to chat bookmarked - when nobody really cared about chat (there was even a time when chat could only be opened by a mod which was a major pain for those who were chat-centric)!

What I've done now is bookmarked the chat page link in heyai to access the password everytime. It can be found here: https://www.hey-ai.com/forum/main/23-site-intern-stuff/1279-cam-chat [url]

On a tangent, credit and kudos to you for keeping chat alive and welcoming for heyai, a lot of members don't know that the chat exists, or they enter chat and are don't know where to start maybe due to shyness - so this is great to let members know - WE HAVE A CHAT and that there are awesome members like yourself and others who frequent the room!

This chatroom has survived around 8 years now.
People come and go; sometimes it's more crouded, and on some days it's dead. It's always been like that, chill.

The password deters people who don't know how to copy and paste. It's win-win for everyone. No one needs those kinds of people in their life.
