New forum format suggestion thread

Since the other thread is for bug reporting, this one would be for suggestions and feedbacks.

-Title on wall post. I think everyone believes that's unnecessary.

-I'm unable to find the button on mobile site that switches the forum into desktop format

-Activity notifications on the right when on a profile: i.e. what people changed what, or who posted on who's wall with what. This feels a little awkward. Perhaps the notification of profile edits isn't too bad, but broadcasting of user wall interactions seems a little invasive on the privacy.

-The canvas is pretty cool

-Having comment sections for photos user uploaded that connections can post on would be nice.

I don't like the fact that if you update your photo or add new friends it will show on the sidebar for everyone to see.
It just makes me feel uncomfortable and I'd like to have an option to hide my updates for the whole site to see.

Activity tab on profiles is bugged. Right now it shows a list of all activity across the site.

• Mobile view improvement is on the to-do list. Right now it's not actually a separate mobile view, but simply a flexible template, that will shift sizes and modules around on smaller screens (you can see that effect when resize your browser window). The reason not to do that right now is that it's procedurally safer to first get all the normal settings in place and make sure it works before bringing another set of functions in that can mess things up.

• Yay! If anyone has pictures that should go into the standard canvas gallery and are under an open license, let us know! This is another low priority thing on the to-do-list.
• Definitely something I want to add, but is not easily doable right now. I had tested a few different plugins for that, but they all had other problems. There is an update for the current gallery in the pipeline, but no certain release date has been announced.

And I'm amazed and happy how quickly you're back and making this a lively place after such a long down time

80+ users ! It was hovering around 40 to 60 before.

It's supposed to show activity of the user and connections. You're just friends with everyone

I'll add a change to that to the to-do list. Users visiting someone's profile will see that user's activity and the profile owner will see friends' activity. What do you think of that version?

That would be a great change. Definitely makes more sense than the current feature.

OMG thank you for getting rid of the title requirement on wall posts!
