they can spam your wall or message or request connection all the time. same deal for me..most girls here are not really interested to stay so much.

it took me a min., mate. just search the female member list and click some profiles and you can see her last login and most of the profiles are inactive...

Have you searched the dudes yet? This site has been up for 5 years + and not everyone is diligent enough to delete their profiles or rather why delete a profile that you've spent your time on. You don't even know if your current relationship is going to work out the way you want it to and you might be possibly coming back. Some others lose interest for this place just don't bother coming back. Lots of reasons. You cannot account for "most" when all you've done is "[take] me a min".

I offered a viable solution for that problem. U just have to use copy/paste and u are done.

It is your problem if u want it only from the profile.

actually would like to see some features revised:

-you cannot edit your own post after submission without activating the flood/spam control.

-when you receive a connection, two messages are sent instead of one.

i want to know what the point of a Thank You is? can users see who thanked them or is this a more anonymous version of the Like?

yeah you right'm not really to talk to much and no thats not my problem. or do you think its bother me?! when i find something interesting. i start talking and maybe i get some response.

The connection thing used to be one message..I don't know what changed that into two.

Hi guys,

Regarding the message inquiry: Great input! AoNoYoru and KafkaAmStrand have good arguments.

@KafkaAmStrand: What's the reason you want to message someone without being connected to them? AoNoYoru mentioned some of the reason why I personally want to leave the way it is. But I also want to understand your POV, KafkaAmStrand.

If your reasons are valid, then I can imagine something like this: Users with a certain reputation level (e.g. membership duration and a certain ratio of "thank-you"s and posts) should be able to PM anyone here. This will foster good content and users are still save from spamming via PMs.

I can't promise you anything, because:
1. I want to implement other things. So, the message feature is not very high on my priority list.
2. I need the permission of tenshi. He's quite busy with other things.
3. I'm not sure about the details yet, or whether this system is save or prone to abuse. (I just made up the system as I read your posts. :P ). So, if you see some weaknesses, then just say so. :) It's your site after all. :)

The reputation level based on the number of thanks you'd get might be a bit skewered cause of the content that people post and the things that they decide to "Thank". Someone could probably write a bunch of hilarious comments and those who'd laugh at it might just throw a like but for others who think of ideas or generate constructive criticism might be skipped over because of the "tl;dr" concept. Just scroll right through that post.

I understand that Kafka wants private messaging to be open and he did make a good point that people can message on others' walls, send a connection request and then be able to private message without being accepted but if the barrier were to be lowered, wouldn't that give creeps a simpler life? Who'd want that lol ~ That's my reasoning.

Perhaps a reputation level or meter, whatever you'd like to call it, would be faced by input of others. It's not really the best way though. Still thinking on it.
