i want to learn Spanish... besides immersing myself in countries like Mexico, Boliva, Puerto Rico, or some other Latin America(n) place (i live in Los Angeles... pretty close) any other ideas?

i have rosetta stone...

those of you non-asians that speak an asian dialect... how did you learn them?

Realistically, it's not easily feasible to go to foreign countries just to learn the language, so I hear you there. However, since you live in LA, I'm sure there are huge area's where the majority of the people speak Spanish. Probably take advantage of that and go to their social gatherings like a church or something. Make some friends and start hanging out with their group.

Check out www.lang-8.com for panguage exchange partners.

Also, Skype and Chatroulette are for more than just camboning. I have several friends who I practice language with, who I met via Chatroulette.

I'm using Pimsleur right now for Mandarin.
