How hard is is to switch from learning simplified to traditional ?

Alright ladies and gents.

I'm going to Taiwan next year for one year to fulfill my study abroad program and my internship(Either Taiwan Normal University or Sun Yat Sen National).

However, I just figured out that Taiwan use traditional Chinese and I'm thinking that I might be screwed because I've learned mandarin my whole life.

I mean, I didn't even know that traditional characters existed before this semester started lol

Let me give u a lil bit about my background. I graduated from middle school in Qingdao and have 5th degree in HSK and I did all this not knowing a word of traditional characters lol

U think its too late to change ?

Indeed it is harder to read Traditional writing when you learned Simplified....
But it's NEVER too late, nor impossible.

Everyone told me( and even mainlainders), if you are able to read traditional, then you almost able to read every simplified symbol. Its up to you
