Made a friend here for 1-2 years , then I had someone to date that didn’t live far from where she was. Booked the flight and just gone see them together.

I met someone on this site who wanted to help me learn Chinese. He lived on the other side of my country and it was absolutely clear that we would never see each other live.
But unexpectedly it happened that he wanted to visit a cousin in the neighboring country. He would come by near me and so we met in person and spent a nice day in Düsseldorf. We went to a museum and had lunch together. Communication wasn't unproblematic, but it was a nice day! :)
